This will lead to the potential for rapid fire growth in dry vegetation. Gusty winds and low relative humidity are possible again Sunday afternoon and evening in Fire Zone 285. ...RED FLAG WARNING IN EFFECT FROM 2 PM TO 10 PM PDT SATURDAY FOR STRONG GUSTY WIND WITH LOW RH FOR FIRE WEATHER ZONE 285... ...FIRE WEATHER WATCH IN EFFECT FROM SUNDAY AFTERNOON THROUGH SUNDAY EVENING FOR STRONG GUSTY WIND WITH LOW RH FOR FIRE WEATHER ZONE 285... The National Weather Service in Medford has replaced the Fire Weather Watch for Saturday afternoon and evening with a Red Flag Warning...which is in effect from 2 PM to 10 PM PDT Saturday. A new Fire Weather Watch has also been issued. This Fire Weather Watch is in effect from Sunday afternoon through Sunday evening.

* Impacts: Strong, gusty winds with low relative humidity and high fire danger will likely contribute to a significant spread of new and existing fires.

* Affected area: For the Red Flag Warning. In Northern CA...Most of Fire Weather Zone 285 along the Warner Mountains west and southwestward to near Timber Mountain, Canby, Lookout, and all areas in between. For the Fire Weather Watch, the southeast part of Fire Weather zone 285, this includes Alturas and Likely.

* Wind: West 15 to 25 mph with gusts up to 40 mph Saturday afternoon and evening. West 10 to 20 with gusts to 30 mph Sunday afternoon and evening.

* Humidity: 5 to 10 percent Saturday and Sunday.

* Impacts...The combination of gusty winds and low humidity can cause fire to rapidly grow in size and intensity.
