CHICO, Calif. - Police said there is probable cause that a man arrested following an armed robbery of a gas station on Friday is responsible for nine armed robberies in Chico.
27-year-old Robert Studdard was arrested Friday following an armed robbery at the Sinclair gas station at 1115 W. 6th St.
Detectives reviewed nine armed robberies that have happened in West Chico since Dec. 14 and said in a news release there is “probable cause to show that Stubbard was responsible for each of the incidents.”
Police said they have requested armed robbery charges for each of the nine cases, which includes the Sinclair gas station, the 76 gas station on Park Ave, 7-Eleven on Main St., 5th and Ivy Liquor, and AM/PM.
Studdard was taken to the Butte County Jail for arraignment. His bail was denied.
