PARADISE, Calif. - The Paradise Bobcats blew out the Lassen Grizzlies by scoring nine touchdowns in their 63-6 victory in round one of the playoffs.

Paradise is the number two seeded team and Lassen was the number seven seeded team in the NSCIF Division 3 playoffs.

The seniors led Paradise to the victory. Quarterback, Braden Gonzales and running back, Daquan Lamar-Simmons both had three rushing touchdowns in Friday's victory.

Gonzales told Action News Now after the game that this victory was a full-team effort as they scored nine touchdowns and held Lassen scoreless through the first three quarters of the game.

“It was nice to come out here and play our hardest. No one ever gave up the whole game," said Gonzales.

The last time these two teams played each other was in 2011 as Paradise blew out the Grizzlies 56-7.

Paradise will play against Orland next weekend in round two of the NSCIF Division III playoffs. Lassen ends their season with a 2-8 overall record.
