PARADISE, Calif. - Hollywood actress Jamie Lee Curtis visited Paradise recently, and we now know why.

She's planning to make a movie about the Camp Fire.

Curtis posed for pictures with employees at the Holiday Market on the Skyway in late April.

On Wednesday, she shared the news on Facebook, that her company "Comet Pictures" is partnering with "Blumhouse" to develop Lizzie Johnson's book, "Paradise: One Town's Struggle To Survive an American Wildfire" into a feature film.

It will tell the stories of bus driver Kevin McKay and school teacher Mary Ludwig, who helped drive a bus full of children through the fire.

The book's author is a staff writer at the Washington Post and previously worked at the San Francisco Chronicle, where she covered dozens of wildfires.
