Gov. Newsom declares state of emergency in Trinity County

SACRAMENTO, Calif. - Gov. Gavin Newsom expanded the state of emergency due to the storm to Trinity County on Tuesday.

Newsom’s office also expanded the state of emergency to Alpine and Orange counties. These counties now join 40 other counties in California that are in a state of emergency. 

The emergency declaration allows for federal aid following the winter storms that have struck the state.
