Monument Fire reaches full containment

TRINITY COUNTY, Calif. - The Monument Fire was fully contained on Oct. 25 after it burned 223,124 acres in the Shasta Trinity National Forest.

Crews are focusing on removing hazardous trees, clearing culverts and repairing dozer and hand lines.

The fire broke out on July 30 around 6 p.m. west of Junction City.
