CHICO, Calif. - Early Jan. 7 a search warrant was served at 680 Manzanita Ave. Apt. 18 in Chico by agents from the Butte Interagency Narcotics Task Force (BINTF).
Agents located suspected fentanyl, methamphetamine, Xanax, clonazepam, oxycodone, and psilocybin mushrooms while searching the apartment. Officials say there was also evidence indicating that fentanyl and other illegal substances were possessed for sale.
Gerald Anthony Gunn, 35, and Samantha Rae Salyers, 32, were arrested. They face several violations including:
- 11351 H&S- Possession of Controlled Substances for Sale
- 11366 H&S- Operating or Maintaining a Drug House
- 11375 (B) (1) H&S- Possession of Controlled Substances for Sale
- 11378 H&S- Possession of Controlled Substances for Sale
Ian William Hunter, 30, was arrested for a felony warrant.
Officials said Gunn was transported to Enloe Medical Center for preexisting health issues and was cited and released at the hospital. Salyers was taken to Butte County Jail with bail set at $65,000. Hunter was also taken to Butte County Jail on the felony warrant.
