Butte County election results sent off for certification

BUTTE COUNTY, Calif. - The Butte County Election’s Office has released election results from the Nov. 8 General Election.

Late Wednesday afternoon, the elections office finished curing the final signatures.

The race for Chico City Council District 3 came down to 234 votes. Current council member Dale Bennett finished with 3,156 votes, just 200 more than Monica McDaniel.

Bennett would return along with incumbent Kasey Reynolds and newcomers Tom Van Overbeek and Addison Winslow.

The Chico School Bard TA 5 was another close race.

Incumbent Eileen Robinson hung on to win the race and keep her board seat. She had 4,924 votes, defeating Logan Wilson by nearly 200 votes.

The other winners for the Chico school board were Rebecca Konkin and Tom Lando.

Councilmember David Pittman had 107 more votes than current Oroville Mayor Chuck Reynold.

The election results now get sent off to the secretary of state who has until Dec. 19 to certify the results.
