CHICO, Calif. - A 24-year-old man was arrested for two counts of burglary that happened in the last three weeks in Chico, according to the police department.
Chico Police Department has been investigating two commercial burglaries since the end of March. Officers were contacted about the first burglary in south Chico on March 29. The suspect took about $2,000 worth of work tools.
On April 11, police responded to a report of a commercial burglary in south Chico but at a different business. Officers said several vehicles were burglarized.
For several days, officers with the Chico Police Patrol Division were able to identify 24-year-old Damien Dixon as the suspect in the two burglaries.
Officer said they were able to locate and arrest Dixon on Monday. He was in possession of the stolen property during both burglaries, police said.
He was taken to the Butte County Jail where he was booked on two counts of burglary and one count of possession of the stolen property. He was also arrested for an outstanding warrant for drug possession, police said.
