Chico police arrest Union City homicide suspect

CHICO, Calif. - Chico police helped arrest a murder suspect out of Alameda County last week. 

The Union City Police Department contacted the Chico Police Department as it is investigating a homicide that happened on April 9 in Union City’s jurisdiction. 

Chico police said Union City Police Department had an arrest warrant out for Antonio Rodriguez, 24, and Miranda King, 31.

Chico police say various units were assigned to the incident due to Rodriguez’s crime, violent history and where he was hiding.

Chico Police Department’s Crisis Response Unit responded to the 300 block of Yarrow Drive and arrested Rodriguez and King on April 22.

Rodriguez was charged by the Alameda County District Attorney’s Office with murder, robbery, possession of a controlled substance, felon in possession of a firearm and possession of a controlled substance with a firearm. 

King was charged with accessory after the fact.
