WEED, Calif. - All evacuation orders and warnings for the Mill Fire in Siskiyou County have been lifted, the CAL FIRE Siskiyou Unit said on Monday.
Fire crews will remain in the area for several days or weeks.
People returning are asked to be cautious of hazards and to check their property for fire or fire damage.
CAL FIRE said it has checked the outside of homes but people should also check the inside for fire or damage.
The Local Health Emergency remains in effect. The Siskiyou County Sheriff's Office advised people returning home to be conscious of fire an utility crews still working in the area as well as potential hazards.
The fire burned 3,935 acres and destroyed 118 buildings. Two people were killed in the fire. It is 95% contained.
