2 dead after small plane crash in Marin Headlands

MARIN COUNTY, Calif. - Two people died after a small plane crashed in the Marin Headlands on Friday, according to the Golden Gate National Park Service.

The crash was reported at 2:15 p.m. after an emergency beacon was activated, officials say.

The plane was located in an area away from roads and trails, according to officials. 

The names of the people who died are being withheld.
