BUTTE COUNTY, Calif. - Butte County supervisors unanimously voted to end the local COVID-19 emergency.

Action News Now spoke with Supervisor Bill Connelly who said it was just in place this long to make sure grant funding wouldn't be withdrawn.

The county already received several million dollars for testing, vaccination and contact tracing.

The county also received funding to offset employee illness and overtime.

But he says every COVID-related program still in place is fully funded for now.
