lawmakers covered a host of issues.. at today's camp fire recovery town hall meeting. two of the biggest issues.. permit fees and tree removal. the north valley community foundation gave grants to cover building permit costs. mayor 'jody jones' says the discount can cover up to 35- hundred dollars.. you get that when you recieve your*fina* building permit. congressman doug lamalfa said he's working with the department of agriculture to come up with funding to help pay for tree removal.. "we are going to be working towards finding a way to fund tree removal, because a lot of folks can't all the sudden have a new expense of removing trees on their property that are damaged or dead, hopefully there are a lot of green trees that don't have to be." congressman lamalfa says he has also heard from people who are having a hard time paying for permits and dealing with their insurance companies. he says lawmakers are working for solutions to that as well. ###
