the viking are getting ready for some big competition this year... pleasant valley is coming off last season 5 and one in league play... and 10 and three overall... winning eight of its last nine games... to become the division 4 state champions... their second title in three years. head coach mark cooley will return at the helm--- and with him 20 returning players... 9 of which started last year... as of now... coach cooley says it's too early to see where his teams at... but they're up for the tough schedule ahead... its about coming out and being physical. seeing how hard we can hit. three of the teams we face are the top three teams in the state of california. delo orro, valley christian and rancho. right now we're all topping the ranking right there so it should be intersting." the vikings will open pre-season play away at del oro on august 23rd... on september 13th--- the vikings will play their home opener against river valley...
