California Care Force is coming to our area, but their free services will only be available for a weekend.

haley, it's called california care force. and they're bringing free medical, eye and dental services to anyone who needs it. 11....12.... dentist tom lewis is counting the days till august. nats... looks like you've got 14 teeth on the top.. the air force veteran is leading the local charge to bring free health care to the north state...through a special group called california care force. this is no questions asked, free care for dental, vision and some chiropractic and medical. on august 3 and 4, a volunteer battalion of physicians and dentists will be stationed at the silver dollar fair grounds. no status of citizenship, no paperwork, just your name and thats about it. you show up and you will be seen. you can get your eyes checked...your blood pressure tested... and your teeth x- rayed and cleaned... among many other healthcare services. lewis says he hopes to help the many people impacted by the recent fires. there were 10, 12 dentists who lost their offices, so the people on the hill lost their dentist. maybe they lost their eyeglasses in the fire. so we will make them a new pair of glasses. right now california care force is hoping to enlist more dental assistants to help with thier event in august. they are also looking for general volunteers to help with non- medical procedures, such as checking patients in. nats of dental equipment. lewis spent a decade helping underserved native american communities with dental care. now in his 49th year of dentistry... he hopes others with the means can join him in the quest to serve those in need. i've had a wonderful life. i have great family, i've earned enough to have enough money. and it's time for me to give back. again... all services provided by california care force are free. you do not need proof of insurance, employment, income, or immigration status. but you do need to get a wristband to guarantee next- day service. for more information on how to do that head to our website, action news now dot com. we will have that story up for you... just look up california care force. live in the studio, stephanie lin, action news now.
