tragedy in a northstate waterway... a palo alto woman is dead - after falling into rock creek in the feather river canyon. the plumas county sheriff's department got the call about 3:30 wednesday - of a victim submerged and trapped in the water. numerous agencies responded to the area near the rock creek bridge...but efforts were not enough to save the woman -- identified as heather noone. she had been walking along rock creek with her family when she fell into the water her husband tried pulling her out, but the current was too strong. "up there, the water is flowing very high right now, there's a lot of little nooks between the boulders and everything, so trying to find a body was very difficult...becaus e they witnessed it at one point, but of course, the current might have taken it somewhere else." using tools to search under rocks and crevices... rescue dive teams were able to retrieve the woman's body shortly before 7 last night.### fema continues to
