sunny day across the north state. we can expect temperature to reach the upper-90s in the valley tomorrow and staying hot on saturday. this is thanlks to a ridge of high pressure over the four corners and the desert southwest. meanwhile the rest of the country is seeing active weather. we are quiet but due to dry conditions over the next few days we can expect high fire danger. into your weekend. on sunday, the ridge of high pressure backs off and weakens gradually. as this happens, cooler air to our north will inch closer and closer to our area. this will allow for us to see a gradual cooling trend, with temperatures slightly above or at average for next week. cloud cover will remain sunny with a few clouds in the forecast possible next week as the high pressure system loses its grip on the north state. thanks kris now for a look at what we're working on for action news no* at five...
