p-g-and-e has permanently shut down the power line that started the camp fire. action news now reporter laura eng spoke with camp fire survivors about this decision, laura? this is where the transmission line is located, just above the town of pulga. the company said it has permanently "deenergized" the caribou-palermo transmission line. cal fire said that line sparked the camp fire last november. several camp fire survivors told us what they thought about p-g-and-e's decision. i think it's good to help prevent future fires because there is still fuel here to burn and i'd hate to see the town burn again. but if it doesn't happen here it's going to happen somewhere else. i think it's a little too late for that, but if it helps another town if we learn from our experience and it helps someone else along the way that's great, but i really do think pg&e messed up. it has been out of service since december. during an inspection, pg&e identified a significant number of high- priority conditions at the line. the utility also found similar problems in the lines that serves sausalito (saus-a- lito). laura eng, action news now.###
