chaos".## a camp fire survivor is upset after learning all of the property he saved after his home burned... was cleared away by a cal recycle crew... contracted for debris removal. action news now amy lanski shares his story: ""all i got was sorry mr. metcalf you fell through the cracks." jerry metcalf lost seven homes in the camp fire. two were on adjacent properties on roe road and buckboard. he says friday cal recycle called him to give him a heads up that within 10 days contractors would be clearing his property on roe road. "and i said that's fine and then i asked them about my adjacent lot where my home was. and they said well mr. metcalf we are already on your property right now." metcalf said he had been given his ten day notice for his buckroad property but not the expected 24 hour notice.. "and they said someone should have called you, we just forgot about it." metcalf went up there right away. "and they had not only cleared my lot they took all my possessions that were on my lot." those possessions included new tools and his parents belongings he salvaged after the fire. "my mom's stuff that's all i have of my mom, my father's that's all i had." "metcalf said his concern is he does not want this to happen to anyone else." "this needs to stop. this needs to be more human." cal recycle is overseeing the contractors on the job. they said there are protocols so this does not happen& and it was a terrible mistake. they have re- iterated the correct steps to all contracting crews so something like this doesn't happen again. in paradise. amy lanski. action news now. A fire weather watch has been issued from 1pm Monday to 11am Wednesday in the Valley and foothills due to dry and gusty conditions. We'll warm up next week but next weekend is looking much much cooler and wet.
