and will be sunny to mostly sunny today. evacuations in the area of county road 41 and highway 16. the fire has destroyed seven structures. high winds and hot weather are expected again today... fire crews have been fighting hotspots and cutting apart dead trees in efforts to stop the fire from spreading. cal fire says the sand fire is 20- percent contained. "i'm racing home, i see the smoke and oh gosh it's terrible thinking its so close."//////'i think about paradise last year and so i'm packing conditions are shifting away from the red flag warning- crews are hoping to gain more control of the fire today.####

A fire weather watch has been issued from 1pm Monday to 11am Wednesday in the Valley and foothills due to dry and gusty conditions. We'll warm up next week but next weekend is looking much much cooler and wet.
