the water problem in paradise is still ongoing.. but new information is pouring out today. action news now reporter christina vitale spoke with the paradise irrigation district about an update on the water supply recovery program. instead of pid's original plan to test water in zoned areas... now they're going from lot to lot.... "with" priority towards people who are currently living in their houses or in temporary housing on their properties. pid director kevin phillips said the majority of the testing they've done shows no contamination in the "main lines" but individual service lines are still showing those voc's like benzene. phillips said, post test results - they're finding a big difference with services lines under burned structures compared to houses that are still standing. ### an option would be to invest in a back flow preventer. this will allow water to flow through pipes without contaminated water flowing "back" into the district. these are for people who want to get their water moving on their property or use intermin water supply. phillips said only the burned structure parcels would need these.## pid is planning an intensified water sampling starting the beginning of june. and i'll have more on that coming up at 5 reporting live in paradise christina vitale
