county victims. the paradise irrigation district gave the community a water update tonight. at the meeting, p- i-d went over their water system recovery plan and released a lot of numbers. more than 800 samples have been taken to date. 501 locations have been sampled and analyzed. the locations included 63 standing structures, 331 burned lots and 107 water mains. we spoke with camp fire survivors at the meeting. you'd love to be able to put a glass under the faucet and drink some water, but you can't do that, brush your teeth without having to go pick up cases of bottled water. i'm worried about those contaminants being sucked into our lines and if we need to replace our lines into the main including hot water heater, those kinds of things. the p-i-d said they're focused on where the contamination in the water is coming from which they said is burned lots. water in the majority of sampled mains haven't detected regulated volatile organic compounds.
