Much cooler and wetter weather ahead!

Monday was another warm day around the North State, but not quite as sunny or hot as this past weekend was. The cooldown will continue through the week, and we've got rain coming our way later this week as well!

kris ad lib, toss to break. ### kris kuyper is here now with weather... monday was another warm day around the north state, but not quite as sunny or hot as this past weekend was. the cooldown will continue through the week, and we've got rain coming our way later this week as well! high pressure has begun to weaken, and high clouds streamed into the north state on monday. this led to us cooling down... valley highs were in the lower 80's. monday was the last day we'll see 80's for highs for quite a while as much cooler and wetter weather is coming our way! skies will turn mostly cloudy on tuesday, with a few showers possible in the siskiyous. the rest of the north state will be dry on tuesday, with valley highs in the upper 70's. off-and on showers should move in on wednesday, which will cool us down even more... look for valley highs in the 60's on wednesday! we'll also see a breezy south wind, with 10 to 25 mph gusts. this will turn to a steady light rain wednesday night. we'll go back to off-and-on showers again on thursday, with the snow level dropping to around 6000'. this will dry up to just a few scattered showers on friday. a new surge of moisture will come in by saturday afternoon and night, bringing us yet more rain then. we'll go back to scattered showers on sunday and monday, but yet another wave of moisture will bring us more rain on tuesday! valley highs will remain in the 60's through all of this stormy weather, so we won't need our air conditioners for quite a while, and may even have to spark up the heater again! it's looking like a soggy weekend for chico state graduation, the redding rodeo, and the glenn county fair. twenty of the
