very latest on action news now at 11. alan alan the butte county sheriff's office is investigating tonight a vicious attack by a pack of dogs in magalia that left at least two people seriously injured. action news now reporter laura eng went to the area where the attacks happened, laura, what did neighbors have to say about this? reporter neighbors in the rosewood drive area of magalila told me they've had problems with the dogs over the years, occasionally running around the neighborhood terrifying the people who live there. pkg and they're coming at you and today they were foaming at the mouth ... this is the scary experience magalia neighbor gary parsons described to action news now he had in the morning ... they were far more vicious today than they had ever been. the butte county sheriff's office said a pack of vicious dogs attacked two people in the 66-hundred block of rosewood drive in magalia. the dog owner as 64-year-old peter ricca of magalia ... they say one of the victims was was watching over the dogs for ricca. that person was taken to the hospital we've always had a challenge with the dogs getting loose. i've had to go over there on more than one occasion and tell him to get his dogs. the today's attacks regarding earlier comlaints about his dogs. we spoke with the husband of the second person who was attacked ... he identified her as 51-year-old sarah davi (dah-vi). laura: sarah davi was leaving her house to warn the owner's brother that the dogs had escaped, but that's when the dogs attacked her and her husband said she was later found face down in front of her house with injuries all over her body. davi was later taken to enloe hospital where her husband says she underwent surgery. the sheriff's office identified the dog owner as 64-year-old peter ricca of magalia ... neighbors told us they've had frequent run-ins with his dogs. i've told him, i'll shoot the sons of a guns. he says, well i'll keep them tied up, but they're dogs. it's not the dogs' fault. but i don't think it's that humane to keep dogs indoors. in total, the sheriff's office said nine dogs were responsible for the attacks. animal control is quarantining the dogs to check for any health issues. reporter live animal control is quarantining the dogs to check for any health reporter live the butte county sheriff's office said no charges are being filed at this time, but the investigation is still on going. laura eng, action news now.### alan alan butte county sheriff's detectives have made an arrest in connection with an oroville homicide. vo 31-year-old "jeffrey parrish" o oroville is behind bars tonight.. a suspect in the shooting death of "lorenzo paz the third". paz was found dead in october of 2017 at a home on greenville street. he had been shot in the head. "parrish" was arrested tuesday at his home on "v-6 road". detectives say they are continuing to investigate. ## alan alan a plumas county man has been arrested on arson and homicide charges following a deadly fire this morning. full page sheriff's officials say the fire was reported just before 7 a.m. at a home on mohawk vista drive in "blairsden". a man in his 80's was rescued.. and told deputies a second victim was in a back bedroom.. that person.. believed to be his wife... died in the fire. the man told police that nicholas phillips was responsbile for the fire.. and deputies arrested ph illips not far from the scene.
