lauren martinez. alan alan and i'm alan marsden. fema opened a disaster recovery center in paradise for campfire survivors. boxes action news now reporter christina vitale spoke with fema about the services they will be providing. reporter live today was opening day for fema's disaster recovery center in paradise. the oroville and chico locations will continue to remain open. pkg 00:09-00:28 jovanna garcia - fema spokesperson 00:35-00:46 sot: this is just wonderful to have this here. michelle duke lost everything in the campfire. she's now staying with friends who's house is still standing in paradise. sot: this is the new recovery center opening up in paradise... i see a sigh of relief... tell me about why this is convenient for you... well its so come up a couple miles from where i'm staying to this center as opposed to going to chico and its smaller so there's less people, get in faster its great its just great. fema spokesperson jovanna garcia said this new location helps bring survivors sot: a lot of people are actually coming back from wherever they were dispplaced a lot of people have gone the outskirts of butte county a lot of state to orgeon and nevada so we want to make sure we actually bring these resources locally to paradise, garcia expanded on the services provided at this location. sot: it's a combination between fema and the state along with the small business administration we also have here the departent of motovehicles which is coming and also the department of housing development garcia said the mitigation administration is also in place at this center. the lowes and home depots that will provide egneral assitance or info on how to repair and rebiuild a stronger home for future disasters right of entry forms are due february 28th and can be dropped off at this location during operational hours. and the deadline to register with fema is january 31st. reporter live the center is located at 1080 ewald court off clark road. they're open from monday to saturday 10am - 5 pm reporting live in paradise christina vitale action news now. ###########
