news now. boxes let's go now to cort klopping in the storm tracker center with your forecast. ### first wx/chr wall grab a jacket, get your umbrella handy, and be prepared to deal you're heading out the door early this morning. we're starting out dry, but foggy for your friday. visibility has across areas from butte county to the south early today. drivers are encouraged to give themselves extra time to get to where they're going, and to drive slower in areas where also want to avoid using your brights if you are driving through areas of dense fog, as that will make it more difficult starting out in the high 30's to mid 40's in the valley this morning, and in the mid 20's to mid 30's in the mountains early this morning, but will be up to 10mph out of the north this afternoon. clouds will continue to blanket our region through the day and showers will be possible this afternoon. the majority of the moisture down to our south, but we could see some wet weather from this afternoon through early saturday. high temperatures will end up in the mid to high 50's in the valley, and in the mid to high 40's in the mountains this afternoon. showers will mostly move down to our south by early saturday morning, and we'll be left with a mostly dry weekend. there will still be some potential for some light showers popping up but the our south on saturday and most of sunday. temperatures will not change much during our weekend. valley areas will stay in the mid to high 50's, and mountain areas will be in the 40's. the next wet system will bring the potential for showers to our system is not expected to pack much of a punch, but it could leave us with slick roads for your monday commute. a series of stronger wet systems will then line up off the coast, and bring periods of heavy rain and snow to northern california from week. timing and amounts are still somewhat in the air, but models do agree that we can expect very wet weather to return during that time. make sure you take advantage of the very wet weather is on tap for next week. weather is on tap for next week. julia
