Lauren is no stranger to the North State.
Born and raised in Sacramento, she’s happy to be working in Northern California.
Before joining the Action News Now team, Lauren worked as an anchor and reporter at KTVZ NewsChannel 21 in Bend, Oregon.
While in Central Oregon, she covered national stories that include the UCC college campus shooting in Roseburg, a World War II tanker explosion outside of Bend, and the militia takeover of the Malheur National Wildlife Refuge where she was featured on MSNBC.
Lauren was awarded an Edward R. Murrow award for continuing coverage regarding the Malheur National Wildlife Refuge takeover.
She attended San Francisco State University where she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Broadcast and Electronic Communication Arts.
When she’s not on the anchor desk, Lauren loves spending time with family and friends. She especially likes spending time with her Chihuahua mixed dachshund Pearl.
