CHICO, Calif. -- It was a homecoming for two former Pleasant Valley Vikings when they faced Chico State on the court this past Friday.

Treyson Keating and Tyler Otterlei graduated from Pleasant Valley in 2019. They played basketball alongside eachother back home and now do it at the next level at UC Santa Cruz.

"It definitely brings back memories of all my high school career and everything before that," said Treyson Keating. "Everywhere I looked I saw friends, I saw family, I saw past coaches, I saw everyone that I like grew up with, so it was amazing.

"It was great I looked up saw my family up there," said Tyler Otterlei. "Everyone came out to support us so it was nice seeing friends as well come out."

Although the two and their team lost to Chico State by 31 points, they said it doesn't beat playing in front of the people they grew up with.
