REDDING, Calif. --
University Prep girl's soccer team is two games away from going undefeated in the regular season for the second year in a row. Senior Savannah Leak is a huge reason why.
"She's a very, very hard working girl," said head coach Rick Bourne." "She always wants to improve and she works hard at her game and she comes from a ceratin level to being a very, very good player now."
Leah ranks No. 2 on her team in goals and assists. But Coach Bourne appreciates her qualities as a captain.
"She leads by example and if I ever wanted anything done, even simple things like taking the balls back or setting the plays up and stuff like that she will do that without any question," said Bourne.
Leak is in her third year as a captain for the Panthers.
"It's amazing to be captain of such a great team, like I feel like it's an honor to be able to lead them," said Leak.
She competes in track and field and club soccer all year, but still maintains a 4.6 GPA.
"I come to school at like 7:45 a.m., school starts, then practice, and then for track season I have track and soccer and then homework at like [8 p.m.] and then dinner, but it's worth it," said Leak.
Leak says she plans on going to UC Santa Barbara and looks to major in biology and pursue a career in forensic science.

A dry and warmer than average Presidents' Day and work week is expected as high pressure dominates our weather. High temperatures will make the mid to upper 60s and the next chance for rain isn't until next Sunday.
