Yaneesa Velasquez is a basketball player who owns Orland's single-game scoring record of 32 points.
The Trojan senior also scores high marks in the classroom as she carries a 4.17 GPA.
She says she draws her motivation from her mom.
"She was a single mom and she raised four kids. There were times when we had just enough to make it, but she always provided for us. I don't know what I could've done without her and she's my motivation, my hero," said Velasquez.
