CHICO, Calif. --

Chico State's womens soccer coach is now one win away from breaking a Wildcat record.

Kim Sutton is in her 19th season with the Wildcats and she knows what it takes to build a winning program. In fact, the Wildcats' next win will give Sutton the All-Time Wins Record in program history.

"It's a really cool experience to get to be a part of it and knowing that if we win a game this weekend we just helped her acheive the biggest win streak or most wins ever, which is really cool," said Wildcat student-athlete.

187 is the magic number for Sutton to surpass Bob Russ.

"Getting them to believe in each other is what helps you create wins," said Sutton. "It isn't so much talent always, you've got to have a baseline, but it's their belief and deciation and their enjoyment about getting out here on the pitch here together that produces the wins...so they just come."

The Wildcats will hit the road for Sutton's 187th career coaching win this Friday against Cal State Dominguez Hills.

We're closing out the month of November in a pleasant way in northern California Tuesday. We'll have some gusty wind tonight and early Wednesday, but December will begin with warmer and drier than average weather.
