PARADISE, Calif. -- They made their way back up the mountain after the Camp Fire, had a 10-0 regular season, but fell short against Sutter High in the DIII Section Championship Saturday night, 20-7.
Sophomore Tyler Harrison scored the lone touchdown for the Bobcats in the third quarter.
But despite this loss, head coach Rick Prinz and coach Andy Hopper are still proud of their boys and what they have been able to accomplish this season.
"I love these guys," said Prinz. "I love the community support. It's been fantastic and I wouldnt trade it for the world. I mean of course I would rather have another outcome tonight, but I'm really proud of [this team] for where we are and what we fought through and these guys are a special group and they're going to do well from here on out."
"I love you guys," said Hopper to the Bobcats. "I love you guys and your parents love you and we're all here, and your brothers love you so let's make sure we all know that by the time we're all done here. It hurts, but we're here for one another and we're still brothers to the bone."
The Bobcats end the season 12-1.
