PARADISE, Calif. -- Paradise High School's boys' basketball team hosted Yreka in the D-IV playoffs on Wednesday night.

The Bobcats won 81-72.

"This is possibly our last home game at this gym," said head coach Nathan Johnson."Our new gym is being built, so it's nice to go out with a win. It's nice for our seniors to go out with a win, too. There's emotions in that locker room, but we're happy we got the W."

They will hit the road to face No. 1 University Prep on Friday at 7 p.m.

We were frying on Friday around northern California and the extreme heat will continue through Father's Day. Please stay cool in this hot weather and be cautious due to our increased fire danger through the weekend.
