'Paradise: From The Ashes' nominated for Sports Emmy

The short story documentary, E:60 ESPN on the Paradise High School football team, has been nominated for a Sports Emmy.

PARADISE, Calif. – The short story documentary, “Paradise: From the Ashes” has been nominated for a Sports Emmy.

It tells the story of the Bobcats resilience after the Camp Fire and the team’s dedication to the game.

The documentary on the Paradise High School football team received the nomination on Thursday, March 26, from The National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences.

The documentary is up against four other nominees, three of which were also produced by E:60, all going for the 41st Annual Sports Emmy in the short story documentaries category. The documentary was created by producer Russell Dinallo and Reporter Tom Rinaldi.

Originally, the ceremony was set for April 28, but due to the coronavirus pandemic, it has been postponed until later this year. An exact date has not yet been announced.
