Chico man becomes 2019 yo-yo national champion

A Chico High School graduate has become the 2019 yo-yo national champion.

CHICO, Calif. - A Chico High School graduate has become the 2019 yo-yo national champion.

He had a winning performance in Philadelphia last week. 

Stein is a 2014 graduate of Chico High School and got his start with yoyoing in elementary school at the Chico yo-yo club at the Bird in Hand store in downtown Chico. 

He now travels the world and designs his own yo-yos. 

The 2019 junior yo-yo championships will be held in Chico on Oct. 5.
