OROVILLE, Calif. -- Butte Football dropped its past two game, but the team says they are confident they will bounce back this weekend.

The football team is now 2-2 after back-to-back losses from Fresno City (13-10) and City College of San Francisco (35-24).

"We started off really strong, really fast," said Cameron Alfaro. "These last couple of weeks, we only beat ourselves, we didn't let our competition beat us. So it's really in ourselves. We've been getting back to the basics and really just trying to regroup and rally."

"We're not trying to panic," said Trevor Owens. [We're] just taking one day at a time, having a good Monday, Tuesday practice and take it into the game."

The Roadrunners will host Laney College this Saturday at Harrison Stadium in Oroville. Game starts at 2 p.m.

Dry weather, sunny skies, warmer temperatures, and gusty north winds will drive elevated fire danger today. We'll have even stronger winds, but cooler temperatures on Tuesday. Fire danger will remain elevated. There will also be a chance for light showers in the Sierra on Tuesday and Wednesday.
