LOS MOLINOS, Calif. - Two Lassen View Elementary school students won their mini-bull riding competition at a world-class event this weekend. It was the Professional Miniature Bull Riders (PMBR) world championship competition.

You need to watch the video to see Hunter Maxwell ride. We have also included photos in our gallery showing Hunter when he was young when he was gaining a keen interest in the sport. Now he is 14 years old.

Hunter went to Utah with his 11-year-old friend Gio Kent. Both boys took 1st place for their divisions. They also each took home reserve championship titles. They will each bring home two buckles and cash winnings.

Hunter's mother, Niki Maxwell, said her son started riding sheep at the age of three. She said he has loved bull riding since he was a toddler.
