ORGANIZATION BACKGROUND:
For almost two decades, the Boys & Girls Clubs of the North Valley has been at the forefront of youth development. Our mission is to inspire and enable all youth to reach their full potential as responsible, productive and caring citizens. We have 9 Club sites located in Chico, Paradise, Magalia, Oroville, and Juvenile Hall.

The Boys & Girls Club works with young people from all types of economic, social and family circumstances.  We strive to enrich the lives of local youth through quality programs and services that focus on academics, healthy lifestyles, and good character and citizenship. We are dedicated to providing local youth with:

  • A dependable safe place to learn and grow
  • Positive & professional role models to guide, listen and encourage kids to be their best
  • Assistance and support for families when they are in crisis
  • Hope and opportunity for a better future

Boys & Girls Clubs of the North Valley FAQ

WHAT IS THE COST TO JOIN THE BOYS & GIRLS CLUB?
Our goal is to ensure that any youth who wants to come to the Club can. Therefore, our membership fee is just $40 per year, which includes daily snacks and meals and all programs.

WHO CAN JOIN? ARE THERE ANY RESTRICTIONS?
There are no restrictions – any youth between 6-18 years of age is welcome to join the Boys & Girls Club.

WHERE IS THE BOYS & GIRLS CLUB LOCATED?
We have 10 Club sites throughout Butte and Glenn Counties in the communities of Chico, Paradise, Magalia, Oroville, and Hamilton City. There is even a Club located in Juvenile Hall.

WHAT IS THERE TO DO AT THE CLUB?
The Club first and foremost aims to be a safe, positive place for our kids. We know that many of our members are choosing to come to the Club and we respect their desire to have fun by providing engaging, high-interest activities in all of our program areas. Due to the diverse nature of our programs, it is hard to say what may occur on any given day, but examples include homework help and one-on-one tutoring, sports games (basketball, dodge ball, soccer, etc.), air hockey, drama, gardening and much, much more!

CAN I RENT THE BOYS & GIRLS CLUB FOR A BIRTHDAY PARTY?
Absolutely! Our Chico Ostrander Clubhouse, Chico Teen Center, Paradise Teen Center, and our Oroville Teen Center are available for birthday party rentals any time our regular programs are not in session. Call (530) 899-0335 or e-mail info@bgcnv.org for more information!
