The Arc of Butte County is a nonprofit, charitable community organization, on a mission since 1953 to help individuals with developmental disabilities and their families live meaningful lives!

Dedicated to ensuring the opportunity for individuals with developmental disabilities to realize goals and enhance their quality of life, The Arc of Butte County began as a group of parents seeking support and guidance from each other, as well as their government.

Our local Arc chapter joined a network of state and national chapters to effectively advocate for improvements in the lives of individuals with developmental disabilities. The Arc of Butte County joins The Arc organization in promoting and protecting the human rights of people with intellectual and developmental disabilities and actively supports their full inclusion and participation in the community throughout their lifetimes.

Mission & History

For over 64 years, The Arc of Butte County has provided services for children and adults with developmental disabilities, and their families.

The Arc of Butte County is committed to securing for all people with developmental disabilities the opportunity to choose and realize their goals of where and how they learn, live, work and play.
