Keeper of Mt. Shasta Inn arrested on sexual assault charges

Mount Shasta Police arrested and booked the keeper of the MountInn Retreat and Spa on Birch Street for sexual battery and other charges Tuesday.

MOUNT SHASTA, Calif. - Mount Shasta Police arrested and booked the keeper of the MountInn Retreat and Spa on Birch Street for sexual battery and other charges Tuesday.

On May 16, officers received a report from a female victim saying she was sexually assaulted by the keeper of the MountInn Retreat & Spa.

An investigation took place and 73-year-old David Roy Knowles Sr. was arrested a few days later, according to the Mount Shasta Police Department.  

This investigation is ongoing and Mount Shasta Police said this is not the first incident. 

Knowles was booked into the Siskiyou County Jail.
