Yuba County K-9 retires from sheriff's department

K-9 officer Hondo has retired from the Yuba County Sheriff's department.

YUBA COUNTY, Calif. – K-9 officer Hondo has retired from the Yuba County Sheriff's department.

After four and a half years on the force, Hondo will now spend his time at home as a normal dog.

His handler says Hondo will camp, hike, swim and chase his nemesis, the blue belly lizard.
