Yuba City Police: Veteran's Stolen Dog Returned

The Yuba City Police Department says a veteran's stolen dog has been returned.

UPDATE 7 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 17, 2018 - The Yuba City Police Department says "Reo" the Chihuahua has been returned to his owner. Police say this is all thanks to the community's efforts. They have not named a suspect at this time.

YUBA CITY, Calif. - The Yuba City Police Department says a veteran's dog was stolen, along with his van. 

Police say the wheelchair-bound veteran's van was stolen, with his dog inside, from the parking lot of Walmart in Yuba City. It was later found broken down in the river bottom of Yuba County. The dog, a white chihuahua, is still missing. 

Police are asking for the safe return of the dog, no questions asked. If you have any information you are asked to call the Yuba City Police Department at 530-822-4661.
