REDDING, Calif. - A woman died Wednesday after a Chevy Trailblazer hit her at the intersection of Hartnell and Victor Avenues in Redding.
The victim did not use the crosswalk, and the driver could not avoid her, even while traveling the speed limit, according to Redding police.
The victim died from major injuries at Mercy Hospital.
Investigators said no drugs nor alcohol played a role in the incident. Action News Now is working to learn the identity of the woman killed.
