BUTTE COUNTY, Calif. - A woman was hospitalized after losing control of her car on Highway 99 just after noon on Tuesday.

She was heading north, just past East Avenue in Chico, when her white Lexus sedan spun out of control and came to a stop in the bushes along the center median.

The California Highway Patrol on scene said speed was a factor in the collision. Officials say that the woman was taken to a local hospital with minor injuries.
