Woman arrested for DUI after crashing into multiple vehicles

Police arrested a woman for driving under the influence after an investigation revealed she hit multiple vehicles leaving a casino.

REDDING, Calif. - A woman was arrested for driving under the influence after she crashed into a vehicle while driving the wrong way, according to the Redding Police Department.

Around 8:02 p.m. Tuesday police responded to a crash on Highway 273 south of Girvan Rd.

During an investigation, police learned that 37-year-old Laura Eiddert left Win-River in a 2015 Kia Sorrento and crashed into multiple vehicles and continued northbound on Highway 273.

Eiffert began driving in the southbound lane and crashed into a Ford F-250.

The crash caused Highway 273 to close for about an hour.

Officer conducted a Driving Under the Influence investigation and determined Eiffert was “heavily” intoxicated.

She was arrested for DUI and multiple hit-and-run collisions.
