CHICO, Calif. -- Video released to Action News Now on Friday shows a convenience store attack in Chico.

This is brand new video of two customers fighting with a store employee at the 7-Eleven on Forest Avenue.

The employee is wearing the blue sweatshirt in the video.

The witness who gave Action News Now this video says he started recording seconds after the attack.

Employees told police the two attackers stole money. When they tried to stop the pair, the employees say the pair attacked.

"It was the worker who was scuffling with them and the girl started attacking him first. She had a big ole dagger thing in her hand. And then he's kind of fighting with the girl so the boyfriend started jumping in," said Kaya Miller, a witness who helped break up the fight.

DA Mike Ramsey says the girl used a safety pin to stab the employee.

The couple took off, but police caught them a few minutes later.

The pair is charged with possession of an assault weapon, a sawed-off shotgun and hash oil found in their car when they were arrested.
