It is the most wonderful time of the year and what better way to enjoy the holidays than a cup of coffee and local art.

The Chico Art Center hosted the “Winter Gift Show” at noon Saturday.

Local Chicoans can look at dozens of items ranging from pottery, jewelry and cards to help buy something special for a certain someone this holiday season.

All the handcrafted items are made from Picassos of the Chico community.

We spoke to a Great Northern Coffee employee who works next door and says that the center hosts dozens of exhibits throughout the year.

“Yeah there’s Great Northern Coffee and coming to the exhibit they do things throughout the entire year they have stuff for all ages so that's awesome,” said Rachel Nelson.

The event ended at 4 p.m. Saturday afternoon if you missed the event don’t worry the exhibit will last until Dec. 28.

It's been a warm and windy day for northern California with isolated showers breaking out over the higher terrain. We aren't done with the windy weather quite yet, but a quieter and warmer pattern is coming soon.
