White House Lowers Flag in Honor of Maryland Newspaper Shooting Victims

The White House flag is flying at half-staff Tuesday to honor the five people murdered at a Maryland newspaper.

WASHINGTON - The White House flag is flying at half-staff Tuesday to honor the five people murdered at a Maryland newspaper.

The flag was lowered Tuesday morning, President Trump ordered the honor until sunset.

His presidential proclamation covers all federal property, along with embassies and other facilities abroad.

A gunman shot and killed four journalists and a sales assistant inside the Capital Gazette in Annapolis last week.
