A week- long pass to Whiskeytown National Recreation Area will now cost you twice as much.

It's now 20 dollars a vehicle for a week to enjoy the lake west of Redding, and 15 dollars for a motorcycle.

Now people who bicycle or walk in will have to pay too, that will cost 10 dollars.

All other fees remain the same, including the 40 dollar fee for an annual pass, which is also good for Lassen National Park.

The fees are used for park maintenance.

The most recent projects are the new kayak shed and launch at Oak Bottom Marina, and the repair of the Oak Bottom water ditch trail.
